NTRO "Human nature" is such an overused term that we've already forgotten what it is. Who are we? How do we identify ourselves and others through work, play, and culture? Why are we afraid of death and where is the limit of human consciousness? Where is the boundary between human and other? Yesterday's philosophy was filled with such questions, but we have something new, something that removes borders and builds new rules. And now we have new questions. Why are we wary of artificial intelligence and don't notice our daily communication with it? How digitized are we and is there any point in fighting it? Is this a new game, a new culture, or just tools for comfort?
New Human Nature is a collection of views from different angles on the new reality that became our new home after a year of global permanent quarantine. In the project, we talk about our transformations: merging with nature, finding ourselves in systems, alienation, and deep experiences of these new states against the background of a global digitized world. The mediums artists worked with are painting, installation, and small sculpture. Residents' projects are closely connected with the local context, which once again became a laboratory for research.
