Leland Beaty was born in Texas, he travels a lot, in particular within Ukraine. In Ukraine he started working with wood as material for sculpturing that in general expresses its philosophical thoughts about the project. The author of street compositions in Lviv, Ukraine.
Leland Beaty in his art revitalises dry trees that are not appropriate for the furniture production, transforming them into the objects that ask to stay and start thinking about the anthropomorphic abstractions of sculptures. He considers that a tree has already the pool of information and energy and if you listen carefully to the form and structure, you can realize your personal nature. Working with sculptures in Travneve, he reinterprets the Nazar Voitovych’s fate and the phenomenon of the Revolution of Dignity, discovering senses which “saw the tree”
